In 1951, A. Vernon Allen moved his custom homebuilding trade from Kentucky to Naples. Shortly thereafter, A. Vernon Allen Builder, Inc. was selected as the original builder for the Port Royal community, where more than 100 of the home sites have had the AVA brand on them since that time. As Naples grew through the decades to follow, AVA did as well.

Company Principal John Remington, who worked for Vernon Allen in the 1970s, purchased the company and continued the founder’s vision for nearly 40 years. Southwest Florida natives, Ryan Benson and Andy Bringardner, later joined AVA 10 years ago and assumed the leadership roles as the newest generation of owners. Both are certified general contractors and have business degrees to ensure the company’s continued success and viability.

Today, AVA is still very active in Port Royal and, through the years, has established itself in Old Naples as well as the luxury residences of Park Shore and neighborhoods in between. Now, as one of the oldest builders in the area, AVA continues to focus on custom homes and luxury remodels for the most discerning clients

Keeping the namesake of Vernon Allen on the company has led to its brand being recognized with the unique attention given to the way the firm builds and serves its customers. As its more than 35-person staff continues to ensure a quality product with outstanding client experience, it takes the 100 years in combined experience and brings them to its product.
